School Uniform Code
Girls uniform skirts are worn knee level and may not be shortened or rolled up at the waist. Waistbands should be clearly seen. All uniform shirts/polo's must be tucked in and buttoned properly. Boys and girls must wear a plain black, navy, or brown belt with their uniform slacks. These are some variations of the Monday-Thursday uniform. The kick-pleat skirt worn by Intermediate students is not shown.
Uniform Sweaters and Fleeces
Sweaters and fleeces must be purchased from Arthur's Uniforms and no other sweater or fleece is acceptable. No sweatshirts or jackets shall be worn in the classrooms. Uniform shirts, sweaters, and fleeces must have the ACS logo.
Socks are to be white, navy, or burgundy in color and may not have any writing, stripes, or logos on them. No multi-colored socks or "footies" of any kind may be worn.
Penny loafers or loafer-style shoes only! Both boys and girls are required to wear penny loafer or loafer-style shoes. Exceptions: a written medical excuse. No platform heels permitted. If you have any questions regarding shoes, please contact the office for a visual aid regarding proper shoe attire.
On Fridays students participating in gym activities must wear the prescribed gym uniform and tennis shoes with white socks. Students may not alter their gym uniform by cutting, ripping, or rolling any part of the uniform.
Parents of students not meeting the uniform code requirements will be contacted to come to the school with a proper uniform or to take their child home. If for any reason a child loses, damages, or simply outgrows any part of his or her uniform, it must be replaced as soon as possible. Substitute clothing must be approved by the administration. No casual apparel is acceptable.
In the event that Arthur's Quality School Uniform does not offer a small enough sized uniform for our Pre-K through Kindergarten students ONLY, parents may purchase a comparable uniform from another company with the approval of the administration. SOCKS MUST BE WORN WITH TENNIS SHOES!
Warm Weather Gym Uniform
Navy shorts, with ACS logo. Gray tee shirt, plain, Logo on front. Tennis shoes
Cold Weather Gym Uniform
Navy sweats, with logo. Grey sweat shirt, plain, logo on the front Tennis shoes.
Proper undergarments shall be worn by all students. Tights are permitted in white, navy, maroon, or flesh colored. Undershirts shall be white only without writing or logos of any kind. Girls may wear shorts under their uniform skirts if necessary. Students may wear a white, navy, or maroon turtleneck under their uniform shirts. Jeans or other non-uniform clothes may not be worn under any uniform.
Damaged or Soiled Clothing
We are not responsible for any damaged or soiled clothing. Remember that clothing tends to "get dirty" when young people play outdoors. Please do not send your child to school in dirty uniforms.
Arrival, Departure, field trips.
All students must arrive and depart from campus in complete uniform. Students must wear the school gym uniform on all Field Trips unless otherwise advised.
For students in our afternoon Bible Club ONLY, parents may elect to send a change of play clothes. Parents must understand that, within reason, the student must be responsible for dressing & undressing, and properly storing his or her own clothing. Play clothes must be either sweat pants or shorts, and a long or short sleeve t-shirt as dictated by the weather.
