AN ATMOSPHERE OF EXCELLENCE

ACS is committed to serving God in the community by offering an atmosphere of excellence in which students are able to learn and grow physically, academically, emotionally, and spiritually. In appreciation of the many sacrifices that families make to provide a private education for their children, ACS students are required to respect both the values of ACS and the authority of the administration.

STUDENT EXPECTATIONS

ACS students are required, with parental support, to be committed to the following:

  1. Giving full attention to each class by making every effort to learn the subject taught;

  2. Having an open mind and heart to hear from God’s Word in Daily Devotion;

  3. Being committed to making choices that will be healthy for mind, body, and spirit;

  4. Cultivating and promoting good relationships with others;

  5. Communicating truthfully to teachers, staff, and parents by completing all school work honestly and reporting any actions accurately;

  6. Abstaining from committing any illegal actions or bringing onto campus any illegal substances;

  7. Refraining from any immorally, sexually, or racially harassing behavior;

  8. Responding respectfully to verbal correction or disciplinary actions given by the teaching staff or administration;

  9. Understanding that physical discipline (corporal punishment; spanking) is not a procedure at ACS. Though we believe this a Bible-based principle, it is to be administered at the discretion of the parent(s) in the privacy of their own home.

  10. Understanding that attendance at ACS is a privilege not a right. ACS reserves the right after notification to suspend or expel any student. Reasons include, though are not limited to, non-payment of tuition, infraction of rules, or for other behavior deemed inappropriate for the purpose of maintaining the spiritual and moral environment of the school.

NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

Arundel Christian School admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national, and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship programs, athletic programs, and other school-administered programs.
